A three.js space project for your first pull request

Space Radar is an open-source 3D map of space, built with three.js and plain ES modules, with no build step. On 1 November 2026 it had 269 open good first issues that nobody had taken. Each one names the file, the change, the check to run and when it is done. Many need no three.js at all.

The list is GitHub's own, so it is always current.

What the code is like

What happens to your pull request

If the checks are green and it is not a draft, it merges on its own, and you are named in the release notes and in the contributors list. A change to what the product does is discussed in an issue first.

Most commits come from an account operated by AI coding agents under the project's founder, and that account is held to the same tests and sources as everyone else. The governance page says who decides what, and there are no outside reviewers yet: you could be the first.

GitHub keeps a starter list for most repositories at the address ending /contribute; the one for three.js itself is a good place to look if you want to work on the library rather than on something built with it.
